Healthcare (Transparent Payments) Bill 2022

Requires pharmaceutical companies and medical equipment suppliers to report every year any payments, gifts, donations or other benefits they give to healthcare professionals or healthcare organisations. It would also create a public, searchable register kept by the Health Products Regulatory Authority, with powers to audit compliance and fines of up to €100,000 for failing to declare. The aim is to make financial ties in healthcare more open and to help protect ethical standards.
