Green Hydrogen Strategy Bill 2022

Requires the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications to prepare and publish a national hydrogen strategy within six months of the Act starting. The strategy would need to be drawn up after consulting relevant stakeholders and would cover the main issues around developing green hydrogen in Ireland. It matters because it would push the State to plan early for a cleaner fuel that could help cut emissions in hard-to-decarbonise sectors.
