Water Services (Amendment) Bill 2022

Public bill · Private Member · Introduced

A group of household wastewater systems that were in place before 2012 missed the original registration deadline and could never register after that date. The change would remove that cut-off so homeowners can still register their domestic wastewater systems now, helping bring more households into compliance and improving oversight of these systems.

Formal long title

Bill entitled an Act to provide for the ongoing registration of domestic waste water systems and to eliminate the requirement to register by a prescribed date in order to enable all householders to register their domestic waste water systems.
