Payment of Wages (Amendment) (Tips and Gratuities) Bill 2022
Public bill · Government · Presented
The measure would set clear rules for tips, gratuities and service charges in workplaces. It would require employers to show their tipping policy, share card tips fairly and openly with staff, give workers written statements about how tips were divided, and stop employers from taking tips for themselves except in limited cases such as card-processing costs. It also extends transparency rules to some contract workers and lets workplace inspectors handle complaints and enforcement.
Formal long title
