Autism Bill 2022

Public bill · Private Member · Introduced

The Autism Bill 2022 would require the Government to draw up and publish a national autism strategy to improve services and support for autistic people. It would set out how education, health care, employment, public services and family supports should be made more accessible, and it would also require training, data collection, research, regular progress reports and a clear route to diagnosis and care. It matters because it aims to make autism services more joined-up, more accountable and more consistent across the country.

Formal long title

Bill entitled an Act to provide for an autism strategy to be prepared and published, and to provide for related matters.
