National Tourism Development Authority (Amendment) Bill 2022
Public bill · Government · Presented
Raises the amount of public money Fáilte Ireland can receive in advances for tourism-related projects, such as helping businesses and improving tourist facilities and services. It increases the current limit from €300 million to €500 million, giving the Minister more room to support tourism development if needed. There are no direct extra staffing or budget effects built into the measure itself, as spending would still depend on the normal annual Budget process.
Formal long title
Bill entitled an Act to increase the aggregate of moneys that the National Tourism Development Authority may advance to enterprises and projects to which section 8(1)(e) of the National Tourism Development Authority Act 2003 applies and for that purpose to amend section 24 of the National Tourism Development Authority Act 2003.
