Health (Amendment) Bill 2023
Public bill · Government · Presented
The Health (Amendment) Bill 2023 would remove the €80-a-day charge that public patients currently pay for acute hospital inpatient care in public hospitals, up to a yearly cap of €800. It would also отменять the regulations that support that charge. In practice, it would make hospital stays free for public patients who would otherwise be billed for these inpatient services, so it matters for anyone needing hospital treatment in the public system.
Formal long title
Bill entitled an Act to repeal section 53C of the Health Act 1970; and to provide for related matters.
