Finance (State Guarantees, International Financial Institution Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill 2023

Public bill · Government · Presented

It would let Ireland put money into certain funds run by the European Investment Bank, the Council of Europe Development Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, with limits, approval steps and yearly reporting to the Dáil. It would also let the State join EU support packages for Ukraine by signing the needed guarantee and contribution agreements, and provide for payments from the Central Fund if needed. A smaller part would tighten anti-money-laundering rules by requiring stronger checks in more correspondent banking relationships, including ones within the EU.

Formal long title
