Children (Amendment) Bill 2023
Public bill · Private Member · Introduced
The measure would close a gap in the existing children’s law so that anyone entitled to privacy protections for offences committed as a minor would actually receive them. Its aim is to make sure those safeguards apply consistently, rather than only in some cases, so that vulnerable people are not left exposed because of how the law was originally drafted.
Formal long title
Bill entitled an Act to ensure all those who should be provided with the benefits of privacy in relation to offences committed as a minor do in fact receive such protection.
