Misuse of Drugs (Amendment) (Control of Nitrous Oxide) Bill 2023

The proposal would add nitrous oxide, better known as “laughing gas,” to Ireland’s list of controlled drugs. It would also let the Minister make rules for limited lawful use in specified circumstances, while keeping existing drug-control rules in place.
