Commission on the Future of the Family Farm Bill 2024

Creates a new Commission on the Future of the Family Farm to advise the Minister for Agriculture, the Government and the Oireachtas on how to protect and strengthen family farms in Ireland. Its job is to look at how family farms can stay economically viable, remain central to Irish society, and help meet climate goals in a way that is socially and environmentally sustainable.

Bill entitled an Act to establish a body to be known, in the Irish language, as An Coimisiún um Thodhchaí na Feirme Teaghlaigh or, in the English language, as the Commission on the Future of the Family Farm; to define its functions; and to provide for matters connected therewith.
