Autism Action and Oversight Bill 2024
Public bill · Private Member · Introduced
Creates a new advisory group to oversee Ireland’s Autism Innovation Strategy and any autism action plans that follow. It would keep track of how the strategy is being carried out, advise public bodies on what they need to do, and report back to the Minister on progress and priority actions. The group would include at least 10 members, with most being neurodivergent, and would meet regularly, publish reports, and be accountable to the Oireachtas. It also requires the Government to produce a new autism action plan every two years, with consultation from autistic people, families and advocates, so the strategy is turned into practical, monitored action.
Formal long title
