Emergency Inspection of Dublin Zoo Bill 2025

Public bill · Private Member · Introduced

The measure would require the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to produce a report on whether an emergency independent inspector should be appointed for Dublin Zoo. In plain terms, it is aimed at prompting urgent oversight of the zoo and putting the Minister on record about how that could happen. That matters because it could lead to closer scrutiny of animal welfare, safety, or management concerns at the zoo.

Formal long title

Bill entitled an Act to require the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to produce a report on the appointment of an emergency independent inspector for Dublin Zoo.
