Irish Film Board (Amendment) Bill 2025
Public bill · Government · Presented
The amendment raises the maximum amount the Irish Film Board can provide through investments, loans, grants and other support for making films and for film training, increasing the cap from €500 million to €840 million. In plain terms, it gives the Board much more room to back film production and skills development in Ireland, which matters because it can help attract more projects, support jobs and strengthen the country’s screen industry.
Formal long title
Bill entitled an Act to amend and extend the Irish Film Board Act 1980.
