Withdrawal of the State from the Migration and Asylum Pact of the European Union Bill 2026

The proposal would withdraw Ireland from the European Union’s Migration and Asylum Pact measures that the Dáil and Seanad approved in June 2024. It would cancel those approvals, state that the measures would not apply to or bind Ireland, and require the Government to notify the EU institutions; it would take effect when passed.
