CEISTEANNA.—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CO. ROSCOMMON SHOOTING.

James Cosgrave SEAMUS MAC COSGAIR Independent

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state whether the soldier who fired the shot which killed Peter Barrett, at Coolgarvey, Co. Roscommon, on the 28th September, 1923, has yet been tried, and, if so, with what result, and, if not, when he will be tried?

Comment on this

The soldier has not yet been tried. As regards the last part of the question I would refer the Deputy to the Minister for Home Affairs for information.
