asked the President on what day it is proposed to take the Budget, and if he will state what arrangements he proposes for debate on its financial resolutions.

The intention is to take the Budget Statement and Financial Resolutions immediately on resumption after the Easter Recess, that is, on Wednesday, 22nd April. If there are any new duties it might be necessary, in order to ensure that no evasion of duty can take place to ask the House to pass the Resolutions on the day on which they are introduced. Opportunity for a full debate on the Resolutions will arise on the Report which will be taken after an interval of about a week.
