asked the Minister for Education if the inquiries of the Geological Survey in connection with the coal deposits at Baurnafea, Castlewarren, Co. Kilkenny, have yet been completed, and, if so, with what result.

I understand that the Geological Revision of the Baurnafea area, County Kilkenny, has now been completed and a report of the result of the investigations is in course of preparation. I do not anticipate that the report will be available for about another fortnight.
