asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of the inconvenience and disappointment caused in the Glasnevin district due to the proposal to close down the town sub-post office at Botanic Road, and, if in view of the developments of Glasnevin, he will consider the advisability of continuing this post office.

The sub-postmistress of the Botanic Road sub-post office gave notice recently of her intention to resign, and though the vacancy was extensively advertised a suitable candidate has not been forthcoming. The office, therefore, must be closed temporarily on the 28th instant, when the notice of resignation expires. If a suitable candidate becomes available subsequently the office will be reopened.
