James Joseph Walsh MINISTER for POSTS and TELEGRAPHS (Mr. Walsh), replying for Minister for Industry and Commerce Cumann na nGaedheal

On a claim to unemployment insurance benefit made on the 21st March last by Victor McConnell, of 76 Mount Pleasant Buildings, Ranelagh, a question arose as to whether certain contributions paid for the applicant were properly payable under the Unemployment Insurance Acts. The necessary inquiries having been completed, the claim has been authorised for 26 weeks' benefit, the maximum amount payable in the benefit year, and payment of all benefit due so far is being made to-day.
