asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if, in view of the necessity of providing safe and convenient playgrounds for the children in the neighbourhood, he will consider the desirability of introducing legislation to make it possible to throw open the Parks at Mountjoy Square and Parnell Square to the public.

Legislation of the nature suggested cannot be introduced without more definite information as to the general lines of an appropriate town plan for Dublin. This matter is engaging the attention of the City Commissioners who, I am aware, are most anxious that facilities of the kind proposed by the Deputy should be provided as fully as possible.
