asked the Minister for Fisheries if he will state what is the present position as regards the acquisition of the lands of Garrons, Barony of Stradbally, County Leix, from Mr. Andrew O'Dea, and, if negotiations are in progress, when they are likely to be completed.

The proposal of the Land Commission for the purchase of the lands of Garrons has been accepted by the owner, Mr. Andrew O'Dea. Title has not yet been shown to the lands, and the Land Commission are not in a position to say when the negotiations will be completed.
