CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - BUNCRANA PIER.

John White SEAN DE FAOITE Farmers Party

asked the Minister for Finance whether it is intended to proceed with the scheme for the extension and development of Buncrana Pier, and, if so, why no provision is made in the current estimates for the cost of the scheme; whether, having regard to the urgency and necessity of this work, and of its importance to this fishery centre, a supplementary estimate will be introduced to enable this scheme to be carried out immediately.

The proposal to carry out improvement works at an estimated cost of £30,000, of which it is suggested that £20,000 should be provided out of State funds and £10,000 by the Buncrana Urban District Council, is at present the subject of investigation.
