asked the Minister for Defence whether he has received an application from Mrs. Mary Skerritt, of Lahinch, County Clare, for compensation for furniture stated to have been broken by Free State troops in 1923; and whether he will state on what grounds the application was rejected.

I am having Mrs. Skerritt's application looked into again and will communicate the result to the Deputy as soon as possible.
