asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he can name a date for the introduction of proposals for legislation amending the Local Authorities (Mutual Assurance) Act, 1926, as promised in his statement of the 23rd ult.

Unavoidable delay has arisen in the introduction of the amending Bill, due to pressure in the drafting of current legislation. I am fully aware of the necessity for urgency in dealing with the matter.
