Michael Richard Heffernan PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTER for POSTS and TELEGRAPHS (Mr. Heffernan) Farmers Party

The opening of a telephone call office at Ringaskiddy would involve the provision at heavy cost of a circuit between that place and Cobh, a considerable portion of which would be submarine. The receipts from calls would fall so far short of the cost of providing and maintaining the service that the facility would not, I regret, be warranted.
