asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether he is aware that a telegram sent from Cappoquin, Co. Waterford, to Miss J. Lawless, Ballymacarbery, Co. Waterford, at 10.45 a.m. on September 3rd, 1928, was not delivered; and, if so, whether he can state the reason.

The telegram in question is recorded as having been sent from Cappoquin at 10.48 a.m. on the 3rd September, but receipt at its destination cannot be traced. It has not, unfortunately, been possible to ascertain definitely the cause of the failure, but the inquiries are being pursued.
