Prof. John Marcus O'Sullivan Minister for Education (Professor O'Sullivan) Cumann na nGaedheal

This is a matter in which I have no power beyond that of sanction. Under the provisions of sub-section (1) of Section 2 of the School Attendance Act, 1926, the power to propose the appointment of a school attendance officer for the area mentioned rests with the School Attendance Committee, subject to the approval of the City Commissioners. Proposals satisfying these provisions have not come before me. When they do so, I will see that the matter is dealt with without delay.
