Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Military Service Pensions (Co. Kerry).

Thomas O'Reilly Tomás O Raghallaigh Fianna Fáil

asked the Minister for Defence whether he can state if Michael Barry, Carhan, Cahirciveen, Co. Kerry, is the man described as Michael Barry, Kerry, in the list of names supplied by his Department, of persons in receipt of a pension under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1924; and, if so, whether he will state the amount of pension awarded, and the service rendered by this man to entitle him to such a pension.

Comment on this

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. The amount of the pension awarded is £24 13s. 11d. per annum. The Board of Assessors constituted under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1924, reported to me that Michael Barry rendered service as required by sub-section 4 of Section 2 of the Act.
