asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he can state whether it is the intention of the Land Commission to acquire the lands of Tubberara, Bert, Athy, now in the possession of Mrs. Walter W. Butler, Southfield, Leix, for the enlargement of holdings and the relief of congestion in that area.

Martin Roddy Parliamentary Secretary to Minister for Lands and Fisheries (Mr. Roddy) Cumann na nGaedheal

The lands to which the Deputy refers appear to be the lands of Tyrrellstown and Moatstown, the property of the late Mr. Walter W. Butler, which have been purchased under the Land Purchase Acts, and are subject to a land purchase annuity. The question of their acquisition is again being considered by the Land Commission.
