asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries to state whether any representations have been received by the Irish Land Commission for a grant for the cleaning of the Glencho-Umlagh River, Carrigart, County Donegal (Leitrim estate); and, if so, what steps, if any, have that Department taken in the matter.

The Land Commission have received a communication from the Deputy, enclosing a letter from Mr. Edward McGinley calling attention to the flooding of holdings on the Leitrim estate due to obstructions in the River Umlagh, and the Inspector in Donegal will investigate the matter and furnish a report thereon.
