asked the Minister for Finance whether the bills of quantities for the proposed extension of the Prince's Street section of the G.P.O., Dublin, are yet prepared; and, if so, whether, in order to reduce unemployment in the city, he will give instructions to the Commissioners of Public Works to issue invitations to tender for and proceed with the work as soon as possible.

The bills of quantities are at present in course of preparation by quantity surveyors. We hope to be able to invite tenders early next month.
