asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state how many applications have been received from Kerry for aid under the Housing (Gaeltacht) Act, 1929, and in how many cases have orders been issued to applicants to commence building operations.

The number of applications received has been 1,981. Twenty-two have been sanctioned. 28 have been deferred because Irish is not the home language of the household, 88 have been found ineligible or withdrawn and 74 others have been reported upon and are under consideration.
