asked the Minister for Finance whether he is in a position to state when work on the new Gárda Síochána Barrack will commence at Bandon, Co. Cork, and if, in view of the dearth of employment in the town, he will have the work expedited.

Tenders for the required works have been received and the building of the barracks will be authorised to proceed in the course of a few days.
