asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he has yet considered the representations made to him some time ago regarding the question of providing a proper pier at The Thorn, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, and, if so, whether he will state what decision he has come to in the matter.

The representations regarding the improvement of the pier at The Thorn, Letterkenny, were received and the place has been visited and inspected by an engineer on my behalf. His report is now being considered. Enquiries are also being made as to the utilisation of the pier, if and when reconstructed.
