asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the yield of stamp duty paid on Stock Exchange transactions in the financial year 1931-32, and the two preceding financial years respectively.

The yield of stamp duty from Stock Exchange transactions during the financial year ended 31st March, 1932, was £45,131. The corresponding figures for the years 1929-30 and 1930-31 were, respectively, £74,285 and £56,861.
