asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission intend to acquire that portion of the Tierwinna Estate, at present in the possession of Mr. Philip Smith of Cool, Kilmainhamwood, County Meath, and, if so, whether division of the land so acquired will soon take place.

The estate referred to is the subject of inquiry by the Land Commission and the question of its acquisition will be duly considered.

At the present stage of the proceedings it is not possible to state when the lands, if acquired, will be divided.
