asked the Minister for Agriculture whether his attention has been called to a report in the Irish Independent of May 1st, which stated that the stamped wrappers scheme in relation to butter, which was being considered, had been abandoned, and whether he has any information to give on the subject.

The statement made by the newspaper referred to is untrue. It is a repetition of a false statement previously made by that newspaper and already publicly repudiated by me.
