asked the Minister for Finance if he will favourably consider the payment of pensions weekly to retired postmen instead of monthly as is the case at present.

It is not the practice to issue pensions under the Superannuation Acts to any class of pensioners more frequently than by monthly payments, and I am not satisfied that any benefits that might result from issue of pensions at shorter intervals would justify the considerable additional expenditure involved.
