Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Disposal of Oil Waste.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he has made any inquiries regarding the effect on bathing resorts at Merrion, Blackrock, Williamstown, Sandycove, and other places near Dublin, of the waste which will be thrown out into Dublin Harbour by the new oil refinery, and if, in view of the regulations which have been found necessary on the Thames, he has secured that alternative methods of disposing of waste outside Dublin Harbour will be devised.

Comment on this

I am informed that there will be no waste thrown out into Dublin Harbour by the new oil refinery, and, further, that the method of disposing of waste from the refinery will be no less satisfactory than that on the river Thames.
