asked the Minister for Agriculture if, in view of the shortage of tea supplies with the consequent demand for increased milk supplies, he will consider the question of advances of loans for the purchase of heifers or milch cows.

The Agricultural Credit Corporation, Ltd., has already in operation a special scheme under which loans are obtainable for the purchase of heifers. It is not necessary, therefore, to provide additional facilities of this nature under the schemes administered by my Department.
