Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Military Service and Ministerial Pensions.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the names of the members of both Houses of the Oireachtas in receipt of (a) military service pensions, and (b) Ministerial pensions, and the amount of the pension in each case, and the date as from which such pension is payable.

Following is the information:—

The following members of Dáil Éireann have been awarded pensions under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934, but owing to the operation of a suspension clause in the Act, payment is not being made.

A pension of £11 8s. 7d. per annum payable from 1st October, 1934, was recently awarded to Senator Michael Hayes but payment has not as yet been made.
