asked the Minister for Finance if he will say with reference to the recommendations made by the Drainage Commission in their report in respect of Barrow drainage charges whether it is his intention to introduce proposals for legislation covering such recommendations; and, if so, when will the Bill be introduced.

I am not in a position to anticipate the proposed legislation in this matter, or to say when it will be introduced. As has already been indicated in the Dáil, the preparation of the Bill is being pushed forward as rapidly as possible.
