asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state in respect of each of the last three years for which the figures are available (a) the total income of the local authorities; (b) their net receipts from rates; (c) their net expenditure from revenue, and (d) the payments made by them in respect of borrowed money.

The information is contained in the annual returns of local taxation, and I would refer the Deputy to returns for the years ended 31st March, 1939, 1940 and 1941, which have been laid before the Dáil. These are the latest returns published.
