asked the Minister for Justice if he is aware of the urgent necessity of providing suitable accommodation in Kilgarvan, County Kerry, for members of the Gárda Síochána; and if he will (a) make arrangements for the erection of a barrack, or (b) rent one of the few excellent buildings in the village suitable for barracks and now offered to the Department for this purpose.

It is proposed to erect a new Gárda Síochána station at Kilgarvan, but efforts to procure a suitable building site have so far been unsuccessful. Any existing building which may be offered for the purpose of a station will be inspected and considered.
