asked the Minister for Justice whether, independent of the Order recently made, it is contemplated as part of permanent legislation to introduce a Bill bringing the existing Increase of Rent Act code up to date; and, if it is so contemplated, what will be the approximate date of such introduction.

A comprehensive Bill to consolidate and amend the existing Rent Restriction Acts is at present in course of preparation. I expect that it will be ready for introduction during the present session, but I cannot at this stage mention any approximate date.
