asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state in respect of the last two insurance years the payments into and the disbursements out of the insurance fund maintained under the Unemployment Insurance Acts, distinguishing the several heads under which (a) payments, and (b) disbursements were made.

As the accounts are kept on a monthly basis, figures are not available for the insurance year, which begins on the first Monday in October in each year. I am circulating with the Official Report a statement showing the receipts into and the payments out of the Unemployment Fund for the year ending 30th September, 1943.

For the figures for the year ending 30th September, 1942, I would refer the Deputy to my reply to a question addressed to me on the subject by Deputy Davin on 24th March, 1943.
