asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he proposes to issue regulations setting adequate salaries, etc., for clerical officers employed by local authorities; and, if so, when?

No regulations of the nature referred to by the Deputy are at present contemplated.

Will the Minister not send some regulations to the local authorities? Has he not promised them for the past month?

I have not promised general regulations.

The county managers do not think that.
