asked the Minister for Finance if he will state why a number of minor employment road and drainage schemes for Kerry submitted to his Department have not been sanctioned, and if he will state when work will commence on those that have been sanctioned.

If the Deputy will let me have particulars of the cases he has in mind I shall arrange to have him informed of the reason why it has not been possible to sanction grants for the works.

Work has already commenced on 60 minor employment schemes in County Kerry, and others are being put in hands as rapidly as possible.
