asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the number of retired civil servants who are in receipt of pensions not exceeding (a) £52 per annum; (b) £104 per annum; (c) £156 per annum, and (d) £208 per annum.

The numbers of Civil Service pensioners of the classes referred to in the Deputy's question are as follows:—

(a) in receipt of pensions not exceeding £52 a year, 223; (b) in receipt of pensions exceeding £52 a year but not exceeding £104 a year, 583; (c) in receipt of pensions exceeding £104 a year but not exceeding £156 a year, 322; (d) in receipt of pensions exceeding £156 a year but not exceeding £208 a year, 169.
